Running water, hot showers, air conditioning, and television are just a few of the things that we will be living without for the next week or so. We will be traveling towards Kansas tomorrow in just our truck and its shell. We spent most of the day on Saturday getting things ready for our next long adventure. It will be the longest time yet that we have lived out of the back of our pick-up truck. We'll boondock all the way there and back, but when we get to family and friends, we'll stay with them.
We have no real timeline for traveling across the Rocky Mountains. If we like what we see in a boondocking spot, then we may stay for an extra day or two. No matter what though, I’m sure that we will be checking out some of the most beautiful scenery in America. We hope to check out a few national parks in Utah and Colorado as well. We have even talked about making it out to Branson, Missouri and Memphis, TN. We own a couple of houses in Memphis but have never seen them, so we thought we'd go take a look. Actually, we're looking to sell one of them on a lease option, so if anyone out there is looking to buy a house in Tennessee, let us know! :O)
We're looking forward to seeing a side of the United States that is hidden from the interstate, and living in our truck for that length of time will test our theory that it can be done successfully with the supplies that we have accumulated. We think that we are ready for this adventure. We will, of course, keep writing about both the things that work for us and the lessons learned from things that don’t. See you on the road! Happy trails!
Wow...you are traveling light. But we see you have the basics nailed. Can't wait to learn what happens next! -- LAguy

We are in Rochester, MN for at least 2 years should y'all decide to check out the land of lakes. :-) Where in KS are you visiting?
